This Beef and Broccoli recipe features tender beef slices and fresh broccoli tossed in a deliciously savory and slightly sweet sauce. A perfect stir-fry dish for busy weeknights, this meal is quick, easy, and packed with flavor.

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • Optional: sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, beef broth, cornstarch, and brown sugar to make the sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear the beef slices until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining vegetable oil and stir-fry the broccoli for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
  4. Add garlic and ginger to the pan and stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Stir well and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened and everything is coated.
  6. Drizzle sesame oil over the dish, mix, and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

  • Substitute chicken or tofu for beef to customize the dish.
