Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 6 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Pickles, lettuce, ketchup, and mustard (optional for serving)
  •

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until no longer pink and drain excess grease.
  3. Place the bottom half of the Hawaiian rolls on a baking dish. Spread cooked beef evenly over the rolls.
  4. Lay the cheese slices over the beef, ensuring they cover all the meat.
  5. Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the top half of the rolls and place them over the cheese layer.
  6. Brush melted butter over the top of the rolls and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  8. Serve with pickles, lettuce, ketchup, and mustard, if desired.

Notes

  • You can customize these sliders with your favorite cheeses or toppings.
  • To make them spicy, add jalapeños or a spicy sauce to the beef.
  • Use lean ground beef to minimize grease, or try ground turkey for a lighter option
