  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided

Instructions

  • Shape ground beef into four patties. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp butter, and cook patties 3-4 minutes per side until browned.
  • In another skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter, cook onions until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
