Ingredients

  • Pork Chops: Bone-in or boneless pork chops
  • Garlic: Minced fresh garlic
  • Parmesan Cheese: Freshly grated
  • Potatoes: Thinly sliced, preferably Russet or Yukon Gold
  • Cheddar Cheese: Shredded
  • Cream: Heavy cream or half-and-half
  • Butter: Unsalted
  • Salt & Pepper: To taste
  • Herbs: Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the pork chops with salt, pepper, and half of the minced garlic. Set aside.
  • Make the cheese sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter, add remaining garlic, and stir in heavy cream. Gradually add Parmesan and cheddar cheese, stirring until smooth.
  • Layer potatoes in a greased baking dish, pouring cheese sauce over each layer.
  • Arrange pork chops on top of the potatoes, and sprinkle with additional Parmesan.
  • Bake for 45–50 minutes until pork chops are cooked through, and potatoes are tender and bubbly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
